The new Contemporary Jewish Museum opened last year, and it’s already become a Christmas Day tradition. Offering free admission to a warm, inviting space filled with great art, Target Family Day welcomes those who don’t celebrate, those who do, and those who make up their minds on a year-by-year basis depending on whom they’re seeing or what family they’re staying with. This year, two very cool exhibits are still standing — “Jews on Vinyl” and “Sendak on Sendak” — and the day offers fun stuff for kids, including the opportunity to jump behind a 10-foot screen and create larger-than-life shadow puppets with Wild Things characters.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
