Eat This, Bitches!

Ugh, fine, there will be vegan food available at today's Burger Boogaloo festival (even though it has "burger" right there in the title!). But whatever's on the menu, the real main attraction is punk and garage-rock from folks like The Mummies, The Gories, Black Lips, The Pandoras, Thunderroads, and Shannon & The Clams (they're the pescetarian option). John Waters — self-proclaimed pope of trash and director of Hairspray, Pink Flamingos, and your most hilarious nightmares — hosts the two-day affair, so flaunt your filth and tout your trash for the world to see.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
