Bryan Ferry: Show Preview

Wednesday, Apr 9 2014

Are you feeling sexy right now? Of course you are — this is San Francisco, everyone feels sexy all the time. But, if you want to take things to a silky, musky, doing-it-on-a-shag-carpet-in-front-of-a-roaring-fire level of sexy, then take your sweet buns over to Oakland this Monday to revel in the lusty sounds of Bryan Ferry. The "Can't Let Go" tour promises a set of hits and favorites that spans Monsieur Ferry's 40-year career — which means that you and your boo can finally slow dance to a live rendition of "Slave to Love" before making the catcall sounds during "Let's Stick Together." He'll likely throw in some Roxy Music classics, too — and hearing Ferry perform "Love Is the Drug" and "More Than This" live would be worth the ticket price alone.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
