Brunch Beneath the Sheets

Dedicated club kids love to dismiss New Year's Eve as "amateur hour." In their world, the real partiers hit the dancefloor every weekend, stay out all night on a Tuesday if it means catching their favorite DJ, and always, always know the best after-hours spots. It's a fair bet that many of these "pros" (and several of their new friends who have to, you know, work for a living) will be enjoying the scene at Breakfast in Bed. The New Year's morning party is an annual tradition from Supperclub, and quite possibly the first party of 2014. The venue is known for live cabaret-style entertainment and upscale food served on rows of white couches and comfy beds. There is also a sizable area for dancing. Breakfast in Bed will feature beats from DJs Dutch, Rooz, and Didje Kelli, and, of course, a freshly-made breakfast.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
