Brian Malow

Wednesday, Dec 31 2008
Brian Malow is a, or possibly the, science comedian. Because are there others? His jokes stick pretty close to his school subject, but they're also easy to understand. "Why is it that if you like science, you get labeled a brain? Just because I like science doesn't mean I'm good at it." He's got plans for the future, involving light behavior. "My hair's going grey. I hope it goes blue, and then ultraviolet. If I go bald, that's what I'm going to claim. I have hair, it's just outside your visible spectrum." As he says, music is not just for musicians, and science shouldn't be just for scientists.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
