It's not often that an author gets to read from a novel in the place where it's set. That'll be the case when Daniel Bacon reads from his novel Frisco, which takes place along San Francisco's waterfront. It's also set in the 1930s at the end of Prohibition. To commemorate that event, free craft beer will be served. Frisco tells the story of two lovers whose relationship is torn apart when financial hardship forces them to take separate paths. Many scenes are set in places that still exist, including the Palace Hotel, Archbishop's Mansion, and, of course, the Ferry Building.
