Best Sacred Rollerblading Rink

The Church of 8 Wheels

554 Fillmore St. @ Fell, 415-752-1967
If you’ve ever wanted to rollerblade around pretending to be on one of those roller derby TV shows from the ’90s, here’s your chance. God’s house has opened the doors to the rollerblading masses. San Francisco’s only church-turned-roller rink is open four nights a week (every Tuesday is gay night, Saturday is Disco). DJ D. Miles, aka The Godfather of Skating, the Hardest Working Man in Rollerblading, and the Mayor of Golden Gate Park, plays some of the best damn funk and disco rollerblading music we’ve ever heard. This roller rink is a true San Francisco gem.
