Best Restaurant Name
Dine
Sometimes, a restaurant opens with a name like, say, Venture Frogs, which can annihilate appetites at a distance of 50 miles. But then, at other times, you get a moniker like Dine, a crisp, single syllable that suggests so much it leaves us breathless. One eats a potato chip, but dines on seared chicken livers with applewood smoked bacon, bruschetta with white anchovies, wild mushroom and baby spinach risotto with truffle oil, lavender-scented rack of lamb, or maybe hazelnut-crusted Chilean sea bass with caramelized fennel. The woman responsible for these wonders is über-chef Julia McClaskey, whose impressively global, New American menu (from spicy green curry to her divine signature pot roast) lives up to the name and more.
