Best Quick Grub Before A Show

Connecticut Yankee

Heading to see a show at Bottom Of The Hill or Thee Parkside? Looking for quick eats that won't give you indigestion or 20 forms of gastritis? You're in luck: The Connecticut Yankee serves up some of the best pub fare in the Bay Area and has a wait staff and bartenders that know how to take care of business. From the Candlestick Special (an awesome vegetarian chili) to the Larry Birdger (grass-fed beef burger patty topped with grilled onions and the works), there is something for everyone. One taste of the Pee-Wee Herman (Carolina pulled-pork), or the delicious Wade Boggs (grilled chicken sandwich), should draw you in to hang a bit before catching that national act you've been waiting to see down the street. Plus, if you drink one too many, you can always hang with the regulars and catch some live music (depending on the date) by acoustic acts and full-scale bands as well.
