Best Indoor View of the City

The View, top of the Marriott Marquis

Let's be real. As much as we pride ourselves on being in tune with nature and watching the sunset from a beautiful spot, we secretly love being indoors, because it means we're out of the wind and fog. For an astonishing view that will make you revel in sheer visual overload, visit the top floor of the Marriott Marquis and its restaurant, aptly called The View, which delivers on its name with a nearly 360-degree perspective of San Francisco. Watch the sun wane over Twin Peaks or count the stars against the spectacular light show from Financial District buildings. It wouldn't shock us if you spend hours there nibbling on your food and gazing out the window, mesmerized by the city's rhythms. We've done it ourselves.
