Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema presents “Agents of Change,” the story of the protests that shut down San Francisco State. This summer’s “Face to Face with the Filmmaker” screens an award-winning documentary focusing on student-led movements for university black and ethnic studies programs in the late 1960s. Local filmmaker Abby Ginzburg uses the experiences of the young men and women who organized and protested these actions to examine the trail-blazing moment. Her film also provides a historical context for recent campus protests inspired by Black Lives Matter. An informal Q&A session with the filmmaker follows the screening.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
