Please join us for an opening reception for the Berkeley Portrait Project, a pop-up exhibition of photographs by Orin Rutchick on view at the David Brower Center Saturday, April 6 through Sunday, May 5.
From October 2017 through April 2018, Rutchick set up a small portable studio in Berkeley and shot portraits of local residents. For many, these photographs were the only formal portraits they had of themselves since their youth. The photographs became a source of pride and positive self-image for these residents.
Rutchick will give an artist talk at 6:30 pm. Food and beverages will be served.
