Award-winning photographers Rob Badger and Nita Winter have spent 20 years capturing California’s vanishing wildflowers, bringing awareness to their beauty as well as to the dangers facing our natural habitats from climate change. The exhibition emphasizes Marin’s landscapes but also includes diverse geographic regions of California. It is sponsored by the Marin chapter of the California Native Plant Society, with support from the Buck Family Fund and MMWD. Guest speakers on climate change issues and wildflower hikes in Marin will be scheduled during April and May. See www.cnpsmarin.org for full details. Reception: Sat April 6, 1–3pm

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
