Batkid Begins

Nothing good or decent or remotely happy-making has happened in San Francisco since November 15, 2013, when the entire city collaborated to help Miles Scott live out his fantasy of being Batkid. For those of you heartless monsters who don't remember, Scott is the then-5-year-old leukemia survivor whose love of superheros inspired the Make-A-Wish Foundation to transform San Francisco into Gotham City for a day. Now Warner Brothers is releasing a documentary about Batkid's special day — so watch it, and remember what it's like to feel.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage.
