You'll experience the spirit of the Cubans — the people, not the cigar or the sandwich — at Viva Cuba: An American Musical. David Alonzo Jones wrote, choreographed, and directed this avant-gardemusical-theater-meets-documentary performance. Viva Cuba blends drama, original song, and dance (salsa, jazz, contemporary, ballet, and even hip-hop) to tell the story and struggle of not only the headstrong rebellion, but also the consequential isolation of post-revolutionary Cuba.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
