They call him the "Godfather of Jungle": Britain's DJ Remarc — the self-coronated "ultimate don of the Amen break" — has been mowing down audiences and rivals alike with drum 'n' bass mixes since the early '90s. He's also a respected producer, arming himself with exclusive new dubplates for his DJ appearances, so nonstop fusillades of Remarc's trademark ragga-tipped discs will be flying off the turntables. Laptop jockeys are advised to either pledge fealty or duck and cover.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage.
