Paul Madonna is a cartoonist, sort of. His work runs in the daily paper in a paneled, captioned format, indicating "cartoon" or "comic strip." As such, "All Over Coffee" functions brilliantly and is super popular. But in reality, Madonna makes fine art limning tilted cities, especially this one. For some people, it's hard to imagine bridging this gap, we recommend those folks get over to the library. At "Five Years of All Over Coffee," those instantly recognizable pen and ink drawings are shown in their second and maybe more genuine format: on gallery walls. The show also features some behind-the-scenes displays of how first drafts and sketches become the richly detailed images we love.
