Please join us for a very special reading with San Francisco-based film critic and author David Thomson. September 7th, 2016, 6:30pm (doors at 6pm) DAVID THOMSON has written about film for The Guardian, The Independent, The New York Times, The New Republic, among others. He is the author of more than thirty books on film, including Showman: The Life of David O. Selznick (1993), The New Biographical Dictionary of Film (2004), The Moment of Psycho: How Alfred Hitchcock Taught America to Love Murder (2009), and most recently, Television: A Biography (October 2016).

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
