A Life On The Ocean Wave

When: Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Continues through July 22 2017
Price: $15
“A Life On The Ocean Wave” tells the story of Shantywoman, a singer of songs and a teller of tales who may be a goddess no less than Brizo, the famed protector of sailors or just an actress struggling to find her feet again after the end of a romantic relationship. She is joined in her journey by a pair of dead sailors who tell her the story of a pirate captain looking for his lost love, a blind pilot, and a dog that thinks she’s a cat.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
