A Full List of the 92 Best Dishes in S.F. for Fresh Eats

Wednesday, May 25 2011

How do you nail down a list of favorite dishes? Here's the short answer: By spending the better part of a year eating around. For SF Weekly's second annual list of must-eats — named SFoodie's 92 after our food blog, SFoodie, where these first appeared — food critic Jonathan Kauffman and a handful of writers (Lou Bustamante, Jason Henry, Sean Timberlake, Alex Hochman, and John Birdsall) tasted, weighed, and came up with the following collection (listed in no particular order). You can scroll through descriptions and photos (several by photographers Albert Law, Gil Riego Jr., and Kevin Henderson) at Extra credit for the supermotivated: Spend the better part of a year tracing our steps, not to mention our calorie intake. Take it slow — we'd like to think you'll be around to eat through next year's list.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
