When Mission of Burma plays the Fillmore this week, the reunited Boston band -- on tour for the first time in 19 years -- will hit town hot on the heels of Television, another underground rock icon making the rounds after a long absence. Given the current revival of garage rock and proto-punk, reunions like this couldn't come at a better time -- which is particularly surprising in Mission of Burma's case, since the group was actually known for its bad timing, turning out feedback frenzy when popular tastes were more attuned to feathered-hair-friendly stadium rock.Mission of Burma performs on Friday, July 26, at the Fillmore, 1805 Geary (at Fillmore), S.F. Silkworm opens at 9 p.m. Tickets are $22.50; call 346-6000.
