    "Batman: Yesterday and Tomorrow"

Batman is many things to many people: hero, gay icon, debonair billionaire, foiler of world-domination plans. He's also an historical figure suitable for course credit and maybe the guy who prevented you from being slowly lowered into that vat of…

    Man on Man Action

Long ago there reigned a clan of Speedo-wearing militaristic psychopaths called the Spartans. They lived beneath a copper-colored sky, on a copper-colored land, amid copper-colored fields, in copper-colored homes made from copper-colored stone. Legend has it they would outline their…

    Love the Sin

Sin City: Recut, Extended, Unrated (Buena Vista) Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's near frame-for-frame adaptation of Miller's bone-crunching comics finally gets a rewarding DVD treatment, following a shamefully sparse edition earlier this year. Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
