The 18th Annual Outsound New Music Summit opens with composer/altoist Beth Schenck's Social Stutter Quartet. They blur the line between strictly written chamber music and soaring free jazz featuring Kasey Knudsen, Phillip Greenlief, and Cory Wright. Also performing the duoB Experimental Band 13-member ensemble lead by Lisa Mezzacappa & Jason Levis exploring the thrilling boundaries between composed and improvised musical worlds!
