The North Beach Festival is this weekend
Dust off those hand-talking skills, because everyone’s favorite Italian-American San Francisco neighborhood is hosting its annual open house on Saturday and Sunday. The Barbarossa Lounge (714 Montgomery) will even be hosting a 6 pm afterparty for anyone who likes cocktails, food, and live music.

Sacramento gets a taste of Off The Grid with new expansion
Off the Grid @ River Walk is the latest addition to the Off The Grid family, much to the delight of Sacramento locals, and to the chagrin of former UC Davis students who really would have enjoyed food trucks during their four years in undergrad. It will be weekly on Sundays, with 10 trucks and 10 restaurant vendors, and will incorporate the same lawn-sitting and sun-enjoying components that San Francisco has delighted in since Off The Grid’s inception.

General Mills releases their first cereal brand in 15 years

The mascot-less Tiny Toast is now on the market thanks to recent innovations from General Mills. No promises that it’s healthy, but we have to say it looks pretty tasty.

Farallon flips steaks for Father’s Day
The old school restaurant at 450 Post known for its seafood will be shifting from sea to land in honor of all our steak-hungry daddies. Their seafood menu will still be available, but we are certainly curious about what this long-standing institution will bring to the world of steak. Their meat will come from Flannery Beef, the same Marin beefery that supplies Alfred’s Steakhouse.

h2hotel's Spoonbar to Host Summer Cocktail Class
The sun is out today so we feel safe recommending the summer cocktail class that h2hotel’s Spoonbar will be hosting this Sunday for all the warmed-up citizens of this city. Alec Vlastnik is their new bar manager, and will be showing attendees how to make the classic Spoonbar Mai Tai. Get tickets here

We all want to be this seagull who nosedived into a vat of curry
We certainly aren't interested in eating that particular tikka masala, but it's hard not to feel a sense of unity with this beast who would boldly pursue the tasty treat that calls to us all, consequences be damned. We've all been there, seagull.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'.
