WesBurger N' More Adds Lunch
If you didn't already catch SF Weekly's cover story on the burger rampage that Wes Rowe and I had around town, check it out. Coincidentally, the month-old WesBurger N' More (2240 Mission) will open for lunch on Monday, May 2 at 11:30 a.m., with the dinner menu of burgers, fried chicken, and salad — along with a turkey club salad (with house-brine and smoked turkey breast, avocado, romaine lettuce, cherry tomato, and tarragon ranch), and a smoked cauliflower steak with chermoula, house dressing, radish, and fried shallots. Better yet, there will be free tater tots with every order!

Gracias Madre Invites Yelp-Storm After Owners Blog About Their Meat-Eating Ways
Oh, my. Via LAist, Inside Scoop's Jonathan Kauffman details how the owners of Gracias Madre, the S.F and L.A. chain that used to include the various Cafes Gratitude, foreswore four decades of vegetarianism (including 12 of veganism) to raise animals for consumption. Yelpers have swarmed, trying to bring them down with one-star ratings.

Fine & Rare's Annual Crab Fest is May 7...
Dungeness crab is OK to feast upon, so Fine & Rare (555 Golden Gate) will host a Crab Feast on Saturday, May 7 (seatings at noon and 3 p.m.) with two hours' worth of unlimited crab, garlic noodles, sourdough garlic toast, and seasonal salad, along with bottomless mimosas and "endless" beer. That is pretty much all the synonyms for perpetuity that one encounters in the food world, so hey, consider it, hunh? Tickets are $80.

...And So Is Ghirardelli Square's 11th Annual Uncorked Wine Festival

Tickets to this one are $60 — or $90 V.I.P. — which gets you access to more than 40 local wineries, a Lagunitas beer garden, and plenty of nibbles, along with live music. The newly opened Waxman's is there, too. In theory you can go to this and the Crab Fest and be a very happy glutton.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
