Hello, SFoodie readers! We are looking for some new voices to broaden our coverage of the Bay Area's food-and-beverage scene.

Is your favorite chef hosting a pop-up? Did a new vegan bakery just softly open in your hood? Do you just love eating more than life itself, and want to defray some of the cost of dining out by writing about it afterwards? Are you eager to build your portfolio and/or impress your friends that you write for a badass alt-weekly newspaper, even if we kinda can't pay you enough to afford that 2BR dream home on Alamo Square?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're on the right track. (Fancier-than-an-iPhone-camera possession is also a strong plus, as is a working knowledge of what an em dash is.)

Curious? We don't bite (unless, you know, carnitas are involved.) Take a look at some recent SFoodie posts, email pkane@sfmediaco.com with some pitches and examples of your work, and let's get this thing started.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
