VICE's Munchies series has a new video out that follows Santa Barbara sea urchin diver Stephanie Mutz as she finds, obtains, and sells sea urchins up and down Southern California. Expect shots of her prying the spiny creatures from their rocks underwater, a bunch of beauty shots of the bright orange roe, and the requisite crack that uni tastes like "going down on a mermaid."

That oft-heard quip is uttered by Mutz' mentor, Harry Liquornik, who is teaching the 26-year-old Mutz the ropes. "In order to ensure that the industry continues on, they need to share some of their secrets," she says, after notign that most sea urchin divers are around 62 years old. "You're investing in the future of the industry by educating the younger divers."

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
