Pedaling home on this drizzly Halloween afternoon I noticed this giant inflatable can o' diabetes just chilling on Patricia's Green, seemingly unattended. Whether it's related to the Yes on Prop. E (pro-soda tax) campaign, which is being significantly outspent by Big Soda, or just some unrelated mischief-makers remains to be seen.

Here's a closeup of the can's warning label:

UPDATE: It turns out the can is from The Bigger Picture, a collaboration between Youth Speaks, and the University of California, San Francisco Center for Vulnerable Populations, to raise awareness about Type 2 Diabetes.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
