Hosted by Almanac Beer Co., this annual event at St. Gregory's church on Potrero Hill pairs fresh autumn brews from more than a dozen California breweries with food from Ryan Farr and 4505 Meats

Chef and cookbook author Cecilia Chang is one of the Bay Area's culinary legends, a woman who helmed her influential Chinatown restaurant The Mandarin for 30 years before selling it in 1991. She's often called the "matriarch of modern Chinese food" in this country, and filmmaker Wayne Wang has captured her spirit and influence in this new documentary about a 2011 banquet she made at his house (guests included Alice Waters and Ruth Reichl).

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
