Big news today from Quince, the exquisite, expensive, two Michelin-starred restaurant from Michael and Lindsay Tusk. The Jackson Square restaurant is temporarily closing its doors from July 25 through September 19 as it revamps its interior. Dinner on demand service Sprig will have its second "guest chef" night on Thursday with Bar Tartine chefs Cortney Burns and Nick Balla. The two chefs will have a menu of three dishes, all for $10 with a $2 delivery charge, that you can order via the company's app 5:30-9:30 p.m. The first time Sprig pulled this guest chef stunt, last month with Stuart Brioza of State Bird Provisions, things did not go very smoothly. The company claims that it sold 100 meals a minute at peak hours and had 10,000 requests for entrees, and it was obvious that the system was not built for that kind of heavy use.

By Chris Cohen

Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is one of the Bay Area's favorite local breweries. Its Prohibition amber ale and Big Daddy IPA are daily drinker craft beers for many area beer lovers and it'd be a challenge to find anyone in S.F who hasn't sampled the brewery's goods. In recent years, Speakeasy has also become known for its gorgeous onsite taproom and regular parking lot events featuring food trucks, pop-ups, and live music.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
