Beer Week Event Planner: Tuesday, February 11

Lots going on tonight! Craftsman + Wolves is (4-9 p.m.) bringing back The Devil Inside ($10), a dessert riff on the hidden-egg breakfast muffin the Rebel Within that once contained a certain banned-in-California ingredient. It'll be paired with Almanac Beer Co.'s Brandy Barrel Peche ($11). There will also be buffalo wing madeleines with smoked blue cheese and celery ($5) with Almanac's Sourdough Wild Ale ($11), and something called the "dark side rebellion" made with beer-braised oxtail, black trumpet mushrooms, and a malt savory cake ($13) paired with Almanac's Biere de Chocolat ($5).

Elsewhere in the Mission, Cervecería de MateVeza is releasing its Salted Caramel Ale, a collaboration with Bi-Rite Creamery (5-9 p.m.). I tried it at the Beer Week opening party, and found it to be sweet and a little nutty without being overwhelming, quite a nice beer. At the event tonight you can try it side-by-side with Bi-Rite's salted caramel ice cream, or get an beer float made with Bi-Rite ice cream and the brewery's nano-brewed beers.

And then Bar Tartine is pairing up with longtime collaborator Linden St. Brewers (6-10 p.m.) for a family-style dinner paired with a range of beer styles and some "special rare offerings." Reservations are full, but the restaurant will be accepting walk-ins for its bar and communal table, and a la carte options will also be available.

Over at the Speakeasy Taproom in Hunter's Point, they're busting open the vault (3-9 p.m.). Rumor has it that there will be specialty brews like The Blind Tiger, Godfather Barleywine, Syndicate 01, and Barrel-Aged Scarface Imperial Stout, along with other high-profile Speakeasy brews. Use the password "Bootlegger" to get your hands on an exclusive beer.

As far as tap takeovers, it's "Russian River 'Tion Night" at Toronado, featuring all those great Russian River ales like Damnation, Temptation, Supplication, etc. (6 p.m.-2 a.m.; no Pliny tonight, but do see if they have Beatification, a lovely rare sour I tried at the Beer Week opening gala). Pi Bar's dedicating its taps to rare and limited release ales from Allagash (3 p.m-midnight), and Noc Noc's featuring a bunch of Lips of Faith brews.
