Get Ready For Super Bowl Bingeing With The Great Chicken Wing Hunt

Posted By on Fri, Jan 31, 2014 at 4:30 PM

Maybe you're spending your Super Bowl Sunday eating something not deep-fried and coated in spicy sauce, but for me, there's one food to eat with football and that is chicken wings. (I'm not alone: an estimated 1.25 billion wings will be consumed on Sunday.)

Whet your palate for the fiery, messy, amazing finger food with The Great Chicken Wing Hunt, a charming recent documentary from first-time filmmaker Matt Reynolds that chronicles a ragtag group's quest to find the best chicken wings in America. The doc has a bit of history, a bit of pain, and a lot of mouthwatering wing shots. And good news: Just in time for this weekend's big game, the documentary is now available for free on Hulu. (You can also download it on iTunes.)

If you can watch the trailer and not be seized with an immediate and all-consuming wing craving, you are made of stronger stuff than me:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
