San Franciscans have an voracious appetite for brunch, and there's a newcomer on the scene: The two-month-old Virgil's Sea Room in the deep Mission is now hosting a rotating cast of pop-ups on Sunday afternoons through the summer.

This Sunday, and every second Sunday of the month, brings Wes Rowe, of Hot Wes Burger fame (winner of the SF Burger Brawl a few months back, appearing on Wednesday nights at Mojo Bicycle Cafe on Divisadero). He'll be getting back to his Texas roots with a Tex-Mex menu including brisket and vegan tamales, huevos rancheros, DIY breakfast tacos, and a salsa bar. House margaritas and Texas-style micheladas will be available behind the bar.

Subsequent Sundays will bring Sneaky's BBQ (fourth Sunday of every month, which means the 24th), Hella Vegan Eats (first Sunday of every month), and a third vendor TBD on the third Sunday. Food will be served 1-4 p.m., but after a few brews on the (hopefully) sunny patio, you'll probably linger far longer than that.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
