Slideluck Combines Community Meal With Photo Show

Posted By on Tue, Oct 30, 2012 at 2:30 PM

Slideluck San Francisco IV

When: Wed., Nov. 7, 6-10 p.m.

Where: Sandbox, 535 Minnesota (at Mariposa)

Cost: Free (RSVP to and mention the dish you'll bring)

The rundown: This used to be called the Slideluck Potshow, but that perhaps gave off an unintended message for this photo exhibit slash potluck dinner that takes place around the world thanks to a New York-based non-profit dedicated to improving community relations through intimate, food-fueled gatherings.

Bring a dish to share at this meal, which features an open bar with wine and beer. And make it good, because you'll have a shot at winning a new 2013 Globe Specialized bicycle if one of the "secret foodie judges" deems it the best in show. Slideluck is also interested in collecting the recipe for its archives if you feel like giving all the family secrets away.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
