The rundown: This class, held at a fair trade print shop, is suitable for humans aged 8 and higher and arrives just in time to be able to show off an important new skill by the Day of the Dead. You'll learn how to make a sugar skull and then be given a few to practice decorating with an array of flair, including sequins, feathers, and something intriguing called "glitter candy."

Holiday Pie Class

The rundown: No more cans of orange goo; the foxy ladies from Three Babes Bakeshop will show you how to bake your own pumpkin and roll out your own crust for a pumpkin pie. Take homes after this session include a six-inch pie and a round of dough so you can practice at least once before Thanksgiving.
UKSF Chutney Workshop with Alison McQuade

The rundown: Local company McQuade's Celtic Chutneys are a blend of familial tradition and San Francisco remix with blends like curried banana and habanero. Proprietor Alison McQuade will show you the rules of this underused condiment as well as how you can bend them to your will. Participants get to bring home a spice blend and finished jar of chutney.
