Sonoma County's Botanical Bakery offers teeny tiny shortbread cookies ("Shorties") that are about the size of a quarter and flavored with herbs and spices such as fennel pollen and lavender. The latest variety, Chocolate Chipotle, is the feistiest and most potentially addicting of all the Shorties.

Cinnamon gets the short stick as far as billing here, but it's one of the big flavors intermingling with the dark chocolate cookie (which, unlike an Oreo, actually tastes like cocoa) and the buzzy kick of the chipotle. It recalls a cup of Mexican hot chocolate, just in cookie form.

The Shorties won't have you reaching desperately for a glass of milk to quell the heat, but it's probably the perfect beverage to have on hand for when you inhale about 10 of these without even thinking. Find these and other BB varieties at Buyer's Best Friend.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
