American Cupcake is the kind of delicious wonderland that serves every kind of cupcake you could possibly desire and then ups the ante into realms only a sugar-starved three-year-old could think up. There's a huge array of unusual options here: from Pixie Stix through Butterscotch, up to Cotton Candy. And while the likes of the Animal Cracker and Worms in Dirt sound more interesting than they are in reality, we can say in all certainty that the Bubblegum is one of the strangest desserts we've ever had. The neon pink frosting is flavored so vividly like old school bubblegum, it feels unnatural to even swallow it. Everyone we've seen eat one of these has had an extreme response -- and it usually involves a lot of joy and not a little confusion. You just have to try it.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
