For this Monday's installment of Liholiho Yacht Club at Mission Bowling Club, chef Ravi Kapur has teamed up with barman (and fellow Hawaiian) Kevin Diedrich to use of his bartending talent to create cocktails with island flavor.

For the more relaxed and ala carte service, Diedrich will be mixing up three cocktails: a Mai Tai ($10, rum, lime, Combier orange liqueur, macadamia, edible orchid) with a house-made macadamia nut orgeat syrup instead of the traditional almond; a pina colada-influenced Blue Hawaii'n ($9, rum, pineapple, coconut, blended with blue curcao) with coconut ice cream; and Diedrich's Hapa Haole ($11, rum, passion fruit, Aperol, Kona wheat beer) that you can also find on the menu at Jaspers.

If you've been to one of the Liholiho dinners in the past, you'll recognize some of the dishes, like the smoked octopus and the bacon malasadas, but now you can create your own greatest hits meal. With cocktails.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
