You might have previously used Uber, which bills itself as "San Francisco's only on-demand black car service," for a stylish ride home after a drunken night out, but the app-driven company is offering a much sweeter proposition from noon to 6 p.m. this Friday (July 13): On-demand ice cream.
That day, Uber is promising that an ice cream truck will show up within 10 minutes of summoning it on your iPhone or Android and offer a party pack of ice cream treats that serves five for $12. And we're not talking Good Humor, here -- participating trucks are San Francisco's Garden Creamery, Aunt LaLi of Santa Cruz, San Jose's Twisted Chill, Golden Ice Cream of Redwood City, and Sonoma's Molly Moo's.
Far be it from us to jump on every corporate promotion out there, but this one seems worth a try.
