Craft beer has come a long way in Bay Area restaurants. Thanks to local chefs such as The Monk's Kettle's Adam Dulye and The Homebrew Chef, the phrase "beer dinner" no longer raises eyebrows. Neighborhoods are increasingly serviced by brew-centric bars, bottle shops, and restaurants with a knowledgeable beer service staff. Soon, the streets will run golden with pilsner and city water fountains will spew IPA (we're still consulting with city planners on that last part).

China Basin is one neighborhood that has solidified itself as a beer destination. With proximity to the ballpark, the evolution is a no-brainer. Anchored by 21st Amendment and Public House, the area has a constantly rotating selection of beer available on draft and cask. To this list, add Twenty Five Lusk, one of the city's most gorgeous destinations to grab a pint. The restaurant offers a well-priced beer and food flight menu in the bar and lounge, typically available the last two weeks of the month. The current flight highlights the Belgian-style offerings of New York's Ommegang brewery. Menu, pairing notes, and details for your trip to the Belgian Quarter of China Basin, below:

Ommegang Pairing Menu at Twenty Five Lusk

Where: 25 Lusk St. (at Townsend), (415) 495-5875

When: Menu available June 25th-28th and July 2-5

Cost: $34

Shrimp and Pork Dumplings, coconut and orange sweet and sour sauce

Paired with Hennepin Saison.

Expect the floral, citrus qualities of the beer to brighten up the dish and mesh well with the orange-accented sauce.

Smoked Quail Reuben, radish kraut, golden raisin mustard, matchstick potatoes

Paired with Abbey Dubbel

The sweet caramel character of this beer will offset the smoky sandwich while the dark fruit character ties in the raisin mustard component.

Fig and Coffee Cream Filled Donut Holes, dark chocolate cherry sauce

Paired with Three Philosophers Cherry Quadrupel

Notes of toffee and chocolate in the beer augment the coffee cream. The chocolate cherry sauce mimics the beer, which is brewed with cherries and dark malts.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
