Ice Cream Social

Where: Union Square's Williams-Sonoma store

When: Saturday, June 2, noon-2 p.m.

Cost: $20 general / $18 (if purchased with a Visa Signature card)

Rundown: It would be nearly impossible to watch ice cream come to fruition and not want to try some; thankfully, these frozen-treat chefs know what's best for them and will dole out samples throughout the event. For two hours, the creative minds behind two of the City's favorite ice cream shops, Smitten and Humphry Slocombe, will share details on what goes into their creations, while scooping up labors of their love for the sugar-loving crowd. Expect to learn a few recipe tips while trying to avoid a brain freeze.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
