Cindy Pawlcyn's latest cookbook, Cindy's Supper Club: Meals from Around the World to Share with Family and Friends, takes readers on a sophisticated and diverse culinary journey around the world. The book highlights menus from a weekly informal supper club that Cindy hosts at her restaurant in St. Helena, Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen

Drawing upon her own travels and research, Cindy presents her recipes with personal anecdotes and instructions that make Austrian Rasberry-Currant Linzer Torte or Cochinita Pibil Tacos from Yucatan something she intends readers not only to ogle at, but also to serve up to family and friends. Each recipe offers a peek into Cindy's culinary expertise and travels around the globe.

As in Mustard Grill Napa Valley Cookbook, for which she was awarded the James Beard Foundation Award for Best American Cookbook, Cindy's commitment to seasonal cooking shines through in Supper Club as she invites readers to cook their way to springtime in Paris or a Japanese autumn. Cindy's Supper Club will be available for purchase May 15, as she wishes readers not only bon appétit à la Julia Child, but also bon voyage.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
