Prather Ranch American Eatery has changed its hours, eliminating its week-day breakfast menu. Now open Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4pm. Chef Erica Holland-Toll assures SFoodie that despite what the time shift may implicate, the new eatery is doing great.

"We changed our hours so we could focus on doing lunch," Holland-Toll says. "We are a meat company, lunch is what we do, its when we are the busiest and focusing our energy on that menu just makes sense."

At the tail end of an extremely busy lunch, Holland-Toll took a second to tell us how much she loves cooking in the Ferry Building. "My favorite part is the knowing that all the ingredients I'm using come from really great sources," she said. "Also, being situated in the farmer's market makes gives me the opportunity to build a menu around seasonal ingredients, which is awesome!"

Last weekend, she couldn't wait to cook a cheddar fondue and roasted asparagus sandwich.

Meanwhile, Mariposa Bakery, which expanded into Prather Ranch's old Ferry Building space this winter is very happy with the non-negotiable breakfast hours written into their Equity Properties Lease. They're open Monday through Saturday 8am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and their popular "bagel" sandwiches for gluten-free commuters have been great for business. Mariposa server Suzanne Lindell says that having more space is great: "We can finally serve lunch!" she says.

Please note: Prather breakfast fans have no need to despair. Holland-Toll has now created a special weekend brunch menu.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
