What: Meet and Eat with SF's Hottest Culinary Crew

Where: Commonwealth Club and Bar Agricole

When: Thursday, Feb. 16, and Monday, Feb. 20; 6:30 p.m.

Cost: varies

The rundown: This is a little confusing, so stick with us. The Commonwealth Club is hosting a discussion with" S.F.'s hottest culinary crew" on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m., and then, if you want, for additional monies, you can actually go out to dinner at Bar Agricole the following Monday, Feb. 20, and enjoy a five-course meal prepared by the very same culinary crew. Got it? You can hear chefs talk about food and then see if the meal actually matches the rhetoric. Bring your score cards, and extra money for cocktails.

You might also be asking, "Who belongs to 'S.F.'s Hottest Culinary Crew'?" Good question! It's Brandon Jew from Bar Agricole; William Werner, Chief Creative Officer of Outfit Generic and the former executive chef at Quince and Tell Tale Preserve Company; Brett Cooper of Outerlands; Michael Gaines, chef de cuisine at Central Kitchen; and Evan Rich, the co-creator of the Chefs' Night Off Pop-up Restaurants and former chef de cuisine at Coi. It's all moderated by the lovely Carolyn Alburger from Eater SF, who is a delight, so it'd be a shame to miss her! It'd be a shame to miss the whole thing!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
