What: Namu Pop-up
Where: Four Barrel
When: Fri., January 13
Cost: $25
The rundown: Namu left a hole in the Japanese-American-Korean food scene of San Francisco when it shut down on New Year's Eve. But don't worry, Japanese-American-Korean food lovers, Namu is back with a series of pop-ups at Four Barrel. The first is this Friday, January 13, and it will feature your choice of ramen or okonomiyaki. Dennis Lee and his crew will serve up favorites like kani salad, bibim kooksoo, ramen with hand-made noodles (with pork, crab, or vegetarian), and pork, squid, or vegetable okonomiyaki. Beer from Magnolia Brewery. Wine will be available for purchase at the cash-only bar, so even if you pay online, don't forget extra groats for drinks and gratuity!
If you can't make this one, there's another dinner on January 20. The theme has yet to be determined but is between smoked BBQ and KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Oh, and in case you're wondering if they're coming back for good, this all is in preparation for Namu Gaji, which is slated to open in late February.
Reservations available at Brown Paper Tickets.
