Tablehopper dishes the Ferry Building shop from Prather Ranch Meat Co. will of course feature meaty options such as burgers, as well as soups and salads. But what we want to try is the tallow-fried french fries (1 Ferry Building at Embarcadero).
Also, just a reminder, the California-Italian restaurant Per Diem is opening tomorrow too (43 Sutter at Montgomery). Earlier this month, Grub Street and Inside Scoop shared that the team behind this Financial District restaurant has a facet of experience in the business, and in the kitchen will be chef Adam Hinojosa.
And after the weekend, yet another opener. Eater SF reveals Jay Bordeleau and David Kurtz's gastropub, Maven, is set to open Monday (598 Haight at Steiner). Look for a food menu that's specifically designed to pairs with their beer, wine, and cocktail selections.
