What: Champagne Bash!

Where: Arlequin Wine Merchants

When: Thursday, Dec. 8, 6 to 8 p.m.

Cost: $50

The rundown: Over 30 champagnes will be poured down your gullet at the champagne bash! Featured producers will include the very fancy and very delicious Jacquesson, Lassaigne, Benoit Lahaye, Laherte Freres, Larmandier-Bernier, Paul Bara, Vilmart, and Agrapart et Fils. What a list! If you happen to fall into a little too much bubbly, there's always Frijtz down the street to soak up the juice. Laugh now, but the french fry/champers combo is nothing to turn your nose up at. In fact, it's something to bury your nose in. And your mouth. Not sure where this is going but this'll definitely be an event to remember (maybe)!

Tickets available at the door.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
