1. Lakefront Pumpkin Lager

Supposedly this recipe is the same one Thomas Jefferson used to make his own pumpkin brew at Monticello. You can play nickels with it instead of quarters, because he's on the nickel. Get it? Or maybe you're not smart and sophisticated enough to enjoy such clever word play. Either way! This light orange brew is flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, and is quite sweet and scrumptious. Downing a pint of this is like drinking a perfect pumpkin pie from Heaven -- one that makes you forget all your worries. You can find one of our founding father's favorites at Oakland's Beer Revolution.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
