The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

A season of delays: Biergarten, the Proxy Project (432 Octavia at Linden) outpost of Suppenkuche, after months of almost opening -- is still not here. Grub Street reports they're working towards an opening in time for Oktoberfest.

In June we mentioned Revo, a restaurant and bar slated for Polk, that was waiting on approval from the Planning Commission. Well, Grub Street shares that their construction deferment may turn permanent; the Planning Commission is not too keen on their expansion plans.

Two new owners, two new names: Grub Street shares that Vietnam Too has new owners and will now be known as Sao Bien Restaurant (701 Larkin at Ellis), and the same goes for Chiang Mai, which under new ownership will become Amphawa Thai Noodle House (5020 Geary at Park Presidio).

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
