Rice Paper Scissors Pop-Up

Where: 315 Linden St. (Blue Bottle Coffee Kiosk, Hayes Valley)

When: Sept. 4, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: $8 sandwiches, $3 coffee

Sunday mornings can be rough. And hungry.

If you expect to be in need of a pick-me-up, head to the Hayes Valley Blue Bottle Coffee Kiosk for a pop-up appearance by Rice Paper Scissors, a Vietnamese street food vendor.

In addition to using Blue Bottle's 17 ft. Ceiling blend to make Vietnamese-style coffee, Rice Paper Scissors' Valerie Luu and Katie Kwan will serve up a breakfast banh mi, complete with a fried egg, chua lua (Vietnamese ham), pickled vegetables, cilantro, jalapenos, and homemade mayo and pate.

Hit the jump for full details.

As far as pop-ups go, Rice Paper Scissors is definitely worth checking out -- Anthony Bourdain visited it last time (and it's not like we stalk him or anything like that), so head over from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. if you're in the mood.

If you're not convinced, check out Rice Paper Scissors' original post about the pop-up for details, like how they learned to brew Blue Bottle's coffee.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
